“Rural vs. Urban Lifestyles: a Youth Environmental Perspective”
Association “Youth Initiative Group” became a partner of the project “Rural vs. Urban Lifestyles: a Youth Environmental Perspective”. The exchange will take place in Portugal between November 13 and 21, 2010 with 36 youngsters from 6 different countries. It will be composed by 4 main moments where the youngsters will experience 2 completely different ways of living: in the urban and rural areas. The goal is to observe the advantages and disadvantages of living in those two distinct areas, keeping the quality of live, assuring environmental protection, health, etc., from the perspective of young people (through their personal experiences). Each organization has to be represented by the group of 6 people (1 leader + 5 participants) 18–25 years old, able to communicate in English and used to sleep in the sleeping bags under the tent. The Advanced Planning Visit of the project will be held on the 29–31st of October.
