Forum of Russian-speaking youth organizations of Estonia

In the framework of the project “Empowerment of youth organizations of ethnic minorities” on the 3–4 of April in 2010 there was a forum of Russian-speaking youth organizations of Estonia organized. Apart from the representatives of local youth and other organizations, two representatives from Lithuania (association “Youth Initiative Group”) participated as the co-ordinators of the project itself. The themes overviewed are as follows:

Problems and solutions of Russian-speaking youth organizations (RYO) of Estonia;
Research on the situation of RYO of Estonia;
Funds and grants of Estonia;
Preparation of recommendations for particular institutions and governmental bodies;
Review of the budget and the feedback on the project.

In spite of undetailed and unequal for some reasons themes review, participants got useful information on strong and weak sides of Russian-talking youth organizations of Estonia, opportunities, local and international (programme “Youth in Action”) funds. There will soon appear on the website information on the research on the situation of Russian-speaking youth organizations in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
