“Nighty–night” at the Russian Culture Centre
On the 23–24 of January in 2010 there was an activity “Nighty–night” arranged, which took place at the Russian Culture Centre and lasted all night long. From 22 p.m. till 6 a.m. a group of young people revealed a topic of stereotypes by discussing stereotypical thinking, advantages and disadvantages of stereotypes, etc.
Different tools were used to uncover the issue: watching a feature film, describing photographs, revealing sound stereotypes, discussing the topic and so on. The night activity went in a “dream way”, when each new activity meant a “new dream”. Those four “dreams” imitated four stages of dreams, which every slipping person goes through. The morning, started at the 5 a.m., was met by smiling youngsters doing morning exercises.
