"Do it for your peace!"

Venue: Turkey, Tekirdag

On the 13–21 of August in 2010 our organization became a partner of the project "Do it for your peace!" (Turkey, Tekirdag), which involved youth organizations from England, Italy, Lithuania, Spain and Turkey. The main theme was supposed to be democracy, tolerance, active citizenship through the various methods: fine art, drama games, meeting local politicians, inhabitants, social and psychological experts, discussions. Association "Youth Initiative Group" was represented by 1 group leader Margo Karachanova + 4 participants (Margarita Bareikyte, Aleksandr Trubinov, Pavel Jasin and Jelena Gaiducenia). Group leader had a trip to Tekirdag to the Advance Planning Visit (APV) for the period from the 2th to 4th of July in order to discuss the future programme of the project. A lot of things that had been promised to be provided and organized during the APV were not done so on the project itself. The group leader and the participants were disappointed by the quality of the project, though had a great pleasure to meet wonderful people who came as participants and trainers.
